Bill & Kant's Excellent Adventure

Can Animotion's BILL WADHAMS save all the '80s from timeline annihilation?

Tony Starlight Showroom

SHOW: 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Dinner & Show $54/64 • Show-Only $24

Bill Wadhams is like our raddest guest ever, to the max. He sang the massive international hit song “Obsession” in 1984 as the lead singer of the LA synthpop band Animotion, whose other hits include "Let Him Go", "I Engineer", and "Room to Move".

Animotion reunited in 2001, performing many shows with the likes of Flock of Seagulls, Wang Chung, Berlin, and the Motels in recent years. On The Late Now Bill will perform a song from Animotion's new album, out this summer! Plus he'll perform a song from the musical he's writing. And he'll save time and space.

Born in Rochester, NY, Bill has been a Portlander since ‘93 where he works in advertising, graphic design, and music.

We can't wait to talk with Jane about her work. We love a good — and long overdue — cultural paradigm shift.

Tonight's whipsmart set gets its '80s on with everything from Kraftwerk to Eurhythmics, Gary Numan to Kate Bush and, in fact, much, much more.

High-spirited live music featuring Anna Leander (AnnaPaul & The Bearded Lady) on vocals, trombone & keytar, bandleader/drummer Charles Pike (Franco Paletta and the Stingers), Michelle Horgen (keys), Paul Brainard (pedal steel guitar, trumpet), Ross Seligman (guitar), and bassist Paul Trubachik (of the eponymous Paul Trubachik band).

Now in its fifth season, The Late Now is the thinking mammal's whipsmart latenite show, now a web series shot before a live audience. Hosted with electric wit and good cheer by Leo Daedalus, Portland performer, producer, writer, singer, comedian, the show is packed with engaging INTERVIEWS, irreverent COMEDY & high-spirited MISCHIEF, musical & special GUESTS, The Late Now Grand Crü Band, plus America’s Favorite High-Altitude Cohost™ Alex Reagan.
